Alan Tran
Nine-and-a-half fingers. My parents and many of my relatives took on blue-collar jobs to make ends meet as first-generation immigrants arriving in Canada in the 80s. Seeing my relatives endure dangerous working conditions and life-altering injuries left a profound impact on me and fueled my passion for ensuring safe working conditions for everyone.
Inspired by my family's struggles, I pursued a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety from Toronto Metropolitan University. Over the past decade, I have dedicated my career to being a safety practitioner in the construction sector, specifically in the industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) and high-rise sectors. I have had the privilege of working with and training many newcomers, helping them navigate the complexities of workplace safety in their new home.
In addition to my professional work, I am committed to giving back to the community. I volunteer with Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS), an Ontario health and safety association, where I provide health and safety awareness training to young workers. I also offer train-the-trainer services for settlement agencies, empowering them to deliver essential health and safety training to newcomers, just as my family once needed.
Driven by my passion for creating safer workplaces, I, along with a team of similarly motivated experts, have started HART EHS Consulting. We are dedicated to being your workplace's go-to safety partner. After all, there is nothing more rewarding than ensuring everyone goes home safe and sound every day.
Yang Luo
With over 8 years of dedicated experience in the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) field, Yang Luo is a seasoned Registered Occupational Hygienist based in Canada. Yang's professional journey spans across diverse industries, including manufacturing, consulting, and transportation.

Throughout his career, Yang has developed a robust expertise in conducting industrial risk and exposure assessments, investigating office indoor air quality, and managing OHS systems. Yang’s proficiency extends to conducting thorough workplace incident and near-miss investigations, as well as executing comprehensive designated substance surveys. Yang's in-depth understanding of both provincial and federal OHS legislation further underscores his commitment to ensuring safe and compliant work environments.
